Sanctions:  
Ängby International will be carried out on 26 or 27 STIGA tables, all with a blue surface.
Barriers will be placed out (minimum) 10x5m around each table.
Fixed start times to all matches will be printed in the tournament program.
All matches will be played in best of five games.
Coaching and time-outs are allowed during the competition.


Training camp:   
There will be a training camp in Stockholm in Vällingbyhallen Monday-Thursday
before the tournament.

Warm-up area:
   
A practice hall with 9 tables will be available during the tournament.

Team competition is open preferably for National teams and will be played in the Davis Cup format, with 2 players in each team, playing for the best of 5 matches. If there is place for more teams, we will allow clubs to enter as well. It’s alright to use a third player in the double match.


Limitations:
Players are allowed to participate in one event on Friday, two events on Saturday and one event on Sunday.

In Men’s Singles the maximum number of entrance in the qualification round is 144 players and 16 players will be directly qualified to Friday’s final knock-out stage.

In Women’s Singles the maximum number of entrance in the qualification round is 64 players and 16 players will be directly qualified to Saturday’s final knock-out stage.

The final knock-out rounds in Men’s Singles will be played on Friday and Women’s Singles will be held on Saturday.

 

Entries:
The date of birth has to be given in the entry form. Players shall be listed in order of playing level.

The organizer has the right to enter four “wild card” players in each event.

Girls are not allowed to participate in the boys’ events.

 

The entry must be given to the organizer
no later than 10th October 2008.

 

Seeding:
Seeding will be set up by the World, European and Swedish rankings and in cooperation with the Swedish Association national board.

 

Draw:
The draws for knock-out events will be made in Ängby office on Thursday 20 November.

The draws for the group events will be made after check-in (1 hour before start) at the playing venue on the day of competition.

Prizes:  
In all other events there will be trophies for players who place 1st through 8th.


Lunch:
A lunch buffet will be served in the playing venue.
The cost will be SEK 55 per meal each day.


Cafeteria:
A cafeteria will be located at the playing venue.

Transportation from and to airports can be arranged for a self cost price of SEK 100 per person each way to/from Arlanda (Stockholm) and SEK 150 per person each way to/from Skavsta (Nyköping).
